Relay for Life
Exela’s Kentucky employees raised $22,630 for the American Cancer Society (ACS) in connection with the Rockcastle, Kentucky ACS Relay for Life on June 19, 2019. This amount reflects $12,630 raised by the Exela Rators plus $10,000 of matching funds from Exela. Every single one of Exela’s 639 full-time employees located in our Mount Vernon and London, Kentucky workplaces contributed to the effort, whether by directly soliciting donations, selling raffle tickets, walking the track, or simply cheering for those walking.

Barehands Initiative
In honor of Earth Day 2019, Exela partnered with Bare Hands Agriculture, a not-for-profit that teaches underserved communities how to cultivate food by planting trees and building gardens. On May 19, 2019, after several weeks of fundraising, a team of Exela employees and affiliates came together with Barehands in Atlanta to create edible gardens in and for the Chosewood neighborhood. By the end of the day, the community had a new green space and a new understanding of sustainable eating, and Exela had raised nearly $4,000.
